Personal Lines Licensed Service Advisor

The Personal Lines Licensed Service Advisor is at the core of MetzWood’s success. We believe in protecting the moments that matter most, and this role brings that to life for our clients and our community. As the Personal Lines Licensed Service Advisor, you’ll be responsible for creating a positive experience for our MetzWood clients, from customer onboarding to annual reviews, and everything in between.

This full-time position will be primarily based in Chatham or Hudson, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and provide high quality service to personal insurance clients
  • Communicate with clients over phone, email, and in person
  • Identify client needs and proactively recommend additional products and coverages when appropriate
  • Properly prepare quotes and present to the client
  • Report claims on behalf of clients and offer guidance throughout the process
  • Follow all necessary agency procedures and maintain high underwriting standards to best serve our clients
  • Work collaboratively as a part of a team to fulfill the needs of our clients

Requirements

  • Experience in customer service, interacting with customers over email, phone, and/or in person
  • Ability to learn quickly, from understanding agency processes and procedures to adeptly utilizing our Agency Management Software system (Applied Epic)
  • Eagerness to work in a team environment
  • Superior multi-tasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience working in the Insurance industry is a bonus, but not required
  • Currently hold a Property & Casualty License, or ability to pass licensing exam within first 60 days of starting the position. If not currently licensed, MetzWood will pay for cost of licensing course and provide time during normal working hours to complete necessary training

MetzWood cares deeply about finding the absolute best fit for our team. To this end, we have a three-step hiring process after an application has been received.  
 
Once your resume has been submitted, if selected to move forward in the process, you’ll first be asked to complete an online assessment, which takes 15-40 minutes to complete. Following the assessment is a first-round interview which is conducted via email. The final step in the process is an in-person interview at our Chatham office.
